The rise of the new extension.
Expertly designed and overseen by Richard Gooden of 4Form https://www.4orm.co.uk/about and expertly delivered by Lenny Croxton of Croxton Building Services Limited (https://www.facebook.com/CroxtonBuilding/?locale=en_GB)
The new extension
Built with the bricks funded by the generous donations to our Buy a Brick Crowdfunding campaign.
Housing the new, fully accessible toilet
With the floor tiles carefully preserved from the old extension, and the Jevington Green we discovered when removing the old toilet and storeroom to create more internal space.
With the extension and toilet in place attention shifted to bringing the interior back to life, including restoring half the original classroom as part the main hall floor space.
The trustees are very grateful to and wish to thank:
Jevington’s David Garrity (Biddy) for his expert plastering work and contribution to finishing the carpentry.
Jevington’s Will Kirkman and his company EcoMerchants for sourcing and donating towards the cost of the Hershel Infra Red Heaters and Earthborn Paints https://www.ecomerchant.co.uk
Earthborn Paints for their generosity and for going above and beyond with the pipettes to match the green we found when we opened up the old store room. https://earthbornpaints.co.uk/
Emily Toft and her team for delivering a beautiful interior - and for working round the Tai Chi and Yoga which was not easy at times. https://www.facebook.com/emilytoftpropertyenhancement/
Bringing the original interior to life again
Emily and her team applying the Earthborn paints to great effect. The ideal breathable clay based paints for such an old building.
